Abstract

Climate policy has remained a focal point of EU priorities for several decades. In particular, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has recently set ambitious targets with the European Green Deal, which has led to increased discussion of climate policy issues at EU level. This panel will examine the role of the EU and its member states in the context of climate and environmental policy, analysing the content and implementation of EU legislation and the extent to which the EU can deliver on its promises despite various crises.
