Abstract

Water is a central element in environmental politics and in many parts of the world droughts and water scarcity as well as pollution are becoming more and more concerning. This also intersects with several other environmental concerns and climate change in particular. Both climate change itself, but also measures to mitigate climate change put further pressure on available water resources. In this context, how to ensure justice in access to water becomes a crucial issue. To discuss questions around water justice and governance, this panel brings together studies from different parts of the world and at different scales.
