This panel brings together papers that inquire empirically into attitudes towards EU borders and cross-border movements. Drawing on various data sources (observational data and survey experiments) and focusing on different issues (trade, COVID-19-related entry restrictions, asylum, Frontex), they aim at explaining the factors that shape public opinion on borders and border policies.
