The aim of this panel is to put in the spotlight the variety of ways in which comparative methods can contribute to the study of interest groups and lobbying. Whether studying the strategies that groups use, their influence, or how groups attract and maintain members, comparative methods can significantly add to our understanding of lobbying systems. We accept purely methodological papers as well as empirical ones, with a preference for either qualitative and quantitative comparative methods that provide a new way of thinking about or investigating lobbying.
