Marcelo Jenny studied political science and journalism and communication science at the University of Vienna (Mag. 1994). After several years working in survey research (SORA, Vienna), he completed his doctoral studies in political science at the University of Mannheim (2009).

Between 2009 and 2016 he was Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Political Science of the University of Vienna and member of the Austrian National Electoral Study (AUTNES) for the Nationalrat Election 2013. He is currently a member of the ACIER Research Consortium of the Universities of Vienna, Innsbruck and Salzburg for the Nationalrat Election 2017.

His research focuses on electoral behaviour, election campaign and party competition, parliamentarism, content and sentiment analysis of political communication.

David Willumsen is Assistant Professor (tenure-track) of Parliamentarism and Political Parties in a Comparative Perspective. Previously, he was Interim Professor of Comparative Politics at the University of Konstanz, and a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of Innsbruck and at LMU Munich. He holds a PhD from the European University Institute, Florence, an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. from the London School of Economics, and has been a visiting PhD researcher at ETH Zurich.

His thesis has been published under the title The Acceptance of Party Unity in Parliamentary Democracies (Oxford University Press), and he has published research articles in journals such as Electoral Studies, European Journal of Political Research, European Union Politics, Journal of European Public Policy, Parliamentary Affairs, Party Politics, and West European Politics.

Sven Jeschke studied political science and international economics at the Universities of Innsbruck and Limerick (Ireland) and received his doctorate in political science from the University of Innsbruck in 2017.

His doctoral research was entitled English in Vocational Education and Training. An Educational Policy Inventory of the Hybrid System in Tyrolean Vocational Schools and among Company Trainers: Foreign-Language Competency, Permeability and Structure-Formational Options Creating Structures to Enhance the Attractiveness of VET in Tyrol.

Sven uses his knowledge in this field as a certified Tyrolean Apprentice Trainer. 

Sven is also the contact person at the faculty for congress organisations. He has previously organised several major congresses, including the 3-Nations-Conference of Political Science 2013, the ECPR Graduate Conference 2014, the Austrian Sociology Congress 2015 and the ECPR General Conference 2022.
