Conference Venue

The Biennial Conference of the Standing Group on Regulatory Governance will be held at Hertie School, Friedrichstraße 180, 10117 Berlin.

 

Gala Dinner Venue

The Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony will take place at Alte Turnhalle Berlin, located at Holteistraße 6-9, 10245 Berlin.

This social event is included in the registration fee. Pre-registration is required. Details on how to confirm your attendance were provided in the Registration email sent to the approved applicants. You may also register here.

Location and Getting Around

Below are travel guides to help you navigate your journey to the Hertie School from Berlin Brandenburg Airport, as well as useful information for getting around Berlin from the Conference venue.

From Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is approximately a 35–45 minute journey from the city centre and the Hertie School, depending on the mode of transport and traffic conditions.

Public Transport from the Airport: Berlin has an efficient public transportation system, including trains, buses, and taxis connecting the airport to the city.

  • Airport Express(FEX) & Regional Trains (RE7, RB14): These provide a fast connection from BER to Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) in about 30 minutes.
  • S-Bahn (S9 & S45): The S-Bahn network also connects the airport to various parts of Berlin, including Friedrichstraße, which is close to
  • Bus Lines (X7, X71, BER1, BER2): These operate frequently and connect the airport to key metro stations.

By Taxi or Ride-Sharing: Taxis are available outside Terminals 1 and 2, with an estimated fare of €45-€55 to the city centre. Ride-sharing services like Uber and Bolt are also available.

Hertie School is centrally located, making it easy to navigate the city using Berlin’s extensive public transport network:

  • U-Bahn (Subway): The nearest station to Hertie School is Französische Straße (U6 line).
  • S-Bahn (Urban Train): Friedrichstraße Station (S1, S2, S3, S5, S7, S9) is a short walk away and connects to major parts of the city.
  • Trams & Buses: Several tram and bus routes operate near the university, providing convenient options for travel.

Tickets can be purchased at vending machines in metro stations, inside buses, or via the BVG app.
