Practicalities

Harbour House is a beautiful two-storey Grade II listed Georgian building that retains many of its original features, including wooden panelling and open fireplaces. Located on Hythe Quay, on the bank of the River Colne, you are just a 25-minute walk away from the town centre.

Getting there

Train services from London run every 10–15 minutes via Colchester Station (known locally as Colchester North Station) which is located 2.8 miles from Harbour House.

There are also two additional train lines running closer to Harbour House, but with less frequent service to and from London: 

• Colchester Town – 1.3 miles from Harbour House
• Hythe – a few minutes’ walk from Harbour House

If arriving at Stansted Airport, Luton Airport, Gatwick Aiport or Heathrow Aiport, National Express offer a coach service that takes you directly from the airport into Colchester town centre.

Facilities

Harbour House is a two-storey building, however, all sessions during the event will take place on the ground floor. There is a common area for socialising with other event participants, a serene garden with seating for enjoying fresh air during lunchtime, and a dedicated 'quiet room' where you can take a few minutes to retreat and find some calm amidst your busy schedule. 

Equipment

There are multiple rooms available at Harbour House, all of which are equipped with a computer, screen and audio for presentations. Our main conference room will be used for the duration of the school but there will be smaller rooms available for anyone who needs a separate space.
