2016 Winter School in Methods and Techniques, Bamberg

The fith ECPR Winter School in Methods and Techniques took place at the Bamberg Graduate School of Social Sciences (BAGSS). Part of the ECPR’s Methods School, the annual Winter School provides cutting-edge courses in the full span of qualitative and quantitative topics. Delivered by a diverse range of experienced Instructors and supported by dedicated Teaching Assistants, the academic side of the School was designed to provide young scholars with the methodological skill set they need at the start of the career, while an exciting plenary and social programme provided an opportunity for all important networking.

Offering introductory and advanced classes, the course content of the Winter School was designed to complement its sister event, the ECPR Summer School in Methods and Techniques. There were 11 short two-day Preparatory courses and 27 one-week Main courses. The ECPR Summer School moved to Budapest July/August 2016 and participants who complete a course at the 2016 Summer School may wish to consider extending their studies to an advanced course in Bamberg. Not only will they benefit from a continuation in the expert teaching they received in Budapest, but will also receive a €50 loyalty discount in Bamberg.
